(Ed. Note: Lack of knowledge
of university yells evidenced by
students has prompted this half
page of UN songs and cheers. At
the request of Bemie Urich, Yell
King, the Daily is printing the
most popular of the yells. It is
hoped that each student will make
full use of the page, learn the
yells and, if necessary take the
sheet to the game Saturday. Ac
cording to custom, spectators rise
when the-'Xornhusker" is played.)

Sonprs
DEAR OLD NEBRASKA U
There is no place like Nebraska,
Dear old Nebraska U
Where the girls are the fairest,
The boys are the squarest
Of any old place that you know.
There is no place like Nebraska,
Where they're all true blue,
We'll all stick together
In all kinds of weather,
For dear old Nebraska U.
NEBRASKA FIELD SONG
Fight, fight, fight
For the Scarlet and Cream.
We'll all fight like mad for the
team.
Smash through the line
We're with you all the time,
Touchdown! Nebraska U.
Rah! Rah! Rah!
Go, Nebraska,
Pile up that score,
We've got to take this game!
We're going to win
We'll never give in
Fight, Nebraska, Fight!
THE CORNHUSKER
Come a running, boys,
Don't you hear that noise
Like thunder in the sky
How it rolls along,
In the good old song.
For the sons of Ne-bras-ki
Now it's coming near
With a rising cheer
That will sweep all foes away.
So with all our vim,
We are bound to win.
And we're going to win today
Chorus For Nebraska and the Scarlet,
For Nebraska and the Cream,
Tho .they go through many a bat
tle
Our colors still are seen,
So in contest and in victory
We will wave them for the team,
And t will always stir a Com
husker The old Scarlet and Cream.
NEBRASKA
My Nebraska,
Dear Nebraska,
State I love the best.
Where the pioneers first led tho
way
Now live the people blessed.
And tho' the sun shines hot in
summer
Or cold winter winds may blow,
It's always fair weather
In Nebraska, where real folks
grow.
Theta's H old Tau's to 6-6
Tie in Real Tackle Tussle
As long" as there are any Thetas
left on the campus, Nebraska uni-(
versity will never have to worry
about a football team.
This was proven last Wednes
day, when the "Jeeps" held the
ATO's to a 6 to 6 tie. The Taus
were recently crowned intramural
football champs.
Good Old Rock 'em Football.
This game was not played in the
usual manner that touch football
is played, but rather turned out
to be a game of rock 'em, sock
'em tackle. Yes, fans, these gals
can block an tackle, besides being
able to bite, scratch, and pull hair.
The teams were evenly matched
Inasmuch as the Thetas used 20
gals to the pore little Taus 9.
Crowd Crowds Teams.
The game was a see-saw battle
all the way, and very exciting for
both the players and the spectar
tors, in fact during the latter part
of the game, the crowd became 60'
large that there was hardly any
room enough for the playing ol
the game. .
It is understood, that the Thetas
are planning to challenge several
other masculine teams, and for
the benefit of those to be chal
lenged, let the Taus warn you that
these coeds are rough and tough,
with but one thing in mind, and
that is winning of the game.

With Secrecy
LAWRENCE, Kan., Nov. 18.
Coach Henry Shenk has ordered
secret practice all week at the
University for his University of
Kansas gridsters in preparation
for the Homecoming game with
the Unlversitv of Missouri here
Saturday. Only the traditional and
ancient rivalry between the
schools will be at stake when the
teams meet since Oklahoma
cinched the Big Six gontalon by
rapping the Tigers in Columbia
last week, and the Jayhawkers are
only one rung out of the cellar.
Questioned as to his plans for
the week, aside from secret prac
tice, the lanky Kansas mentor
grinned and replied, "We'll try to
brew up something for Old Miz-!
sou." Which may or may not mean
anything.
The Kansans' blocking looked
very bad Saturday as they pulled
a hot one out of fire in the fourth
quarter after spotting the War
rensburg Mules a brace of touch
downs. After trailing 12 to 0 at
the opening of the final stanza,
the Jayhawks sent their substi-
: tute fullback. Bill Mowery. across
1 for two touchdowns, one of which
was followed by Bill Chestnut's
dropkick. which gave the Shenk
men a 13 to 12 win.
I In the long rivalry between the
Tigers and the Jayhawks. the Kan
sans have won 24 games to the
Missourian's 20 and seven have
ended in a deadlock. The men from
Oread have not defeated the Ti
gers since 1934 although two
games -those in 1935 and 1937
have ended in scoreless ties. Kan
sas has scored 546 points to Mis
souri's 442 in this historic rivalry.
It will be Homecoming for the
Kansans and appropriate cere
monies have been set up for the
edification of returning guests.
One of the features will be a bas
ketball frame on Friday night be
tween the K. U. varsity and a
selected team from the army train
ees at the University. A Home
coming queen and attendants will
be selected, at the Homecoming
