To win this war, we must spend our money in the third -war loan, so we can successfully swiii"- this i;ui1ie financial endeavor in order to prevent higher taxes, inflation, and in creased shortage of consumer products. Freshmen will have to realize they won't be entering as gala an atmosphere as college has always beeu before. May be it isn't fair, but it's real, and the best we can do about it is to do our bit. ' Buying war bonds and stamps is the easiest way. Right now they're needed in a big share ! A New Feature For the first time on this campus the men in uniform are taking over a page of the Xchraskan lor ihemselves, writ ing the stories on it, editing it. and rounding up the (!l gossip. Soldiers in the library, field' house, and those stationed on ag campus arc going to be an essential part of college life this year. They want to be a part of the school, and we wel come them as such. Most of the men in the AS'IT and air corps program have gone to school somewhere else. Fitting in here will make Ihem miss their former life less. Many of the men from UN are now stationed in similar training units throughout the country, and. we know how much they liked the life on the campus. These soldiers are just like them. So, to help the coeds know the soldiers, and vice versa, ve present the army page, a weekly feature of the Daily Ne luaskan from now on. Regis I rali on . . . (Continued from page 1.) MA308. In this fragrant corner of the old building is another case of "soldiers first," for with this single drug store serving a com munity of over eight thousand persons, someone must wait. As an ex-army student said, "Remem ber, some army boy had to stare his corporal down and get behind a half day of school just to get a swig of that dark sugary stuff down his tickling throat, and you can have some with just time and loose change." And we heard it was all a mat ter of shoving out bottles and raking in cash -and those little slips of memo paper from a pub lic telephone. Pledges . . .
