The meet this morning will be the first home outdoor track meet for Minnesota since 1941, and will give the fans their first oppor tunity to see the Gophers in action this year. Starting at 10 a. m. the meet will be run off in the morning to clear the stadium for the weekly football scrimmage which will be held in the afternoon. Last year Minnesota was beaten by Wisconsin m a triangular meet while Northwestern placed third. The Gophers have veterans in several events, while freshmen arc counted on heavily to take over the burden of places left vacant by graduations and losses to the armed forces.
