The campus is very happy that this keen little romance has finally reached the diamond stage. Tri Delt Lyleth Osteibout is keeping the sisters wondering since she re ceived a Beta sweetheart pin from a captain in the army, now located at Salt Lake. She refuses to give any further information about it. Margaret Weld is looking especially unhappy these days since pin-mate Dick Emrich left last Saturday for Fort War ren, Wyoming, where he will be a second lieutenant in the Quar termaster Corps. Aee Basketball Star Les Livingston and Juanita Lam bert will be married Oct. 19. The Betas are tearing their hair again. Don Stewart, who has been in this column a few times to say the least, has mixed everyone up by getting a date with Kappa pledge Mary Jean Fisher for this week end. Hugh F. McKenna Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock. The wedding took place at the Pi Beta Phi House before an improvised altar of bronze and yellow chrys anthemums and seven branch can delabra. Miss Koupal, daughter of Capt. and Mrs. H. V. Koupal of Lincoln, attended the University of Nebraska where she was af filiated with Pi Beta Phi sorority. Lieutenant McKenna. the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. McKenna of O'Neill, also attended the uni versity. Miss Koupal was attired in a brown gabardine suit, with match ing brown accessories, and wore a corsage of yellow ophelia roses. Miss Joyce Junge, her attendant, wore a pink wool afternoon frock and a corsage of pink roses. Lieu tenant McKenna was attended by Tony Toy. jr.. of O'Neill. Rev. Walter Aitken performed the ccmremony in the presence of 100 guests. Betty Krause sang several solos, accompanied by Jeanette Mae Smith, who also played the nuptial marches. Thomas will whip the sailors of two naval training units thru the same program prescribed for college students, which includes calisthenics and swimming, as well as a heavy program of intra mural activity. Enrolled college men devote at least three hours to the army hradening and conditioning pro gram in addition to classroom exercises in calisthenics, required of all students and such major options as cross country and ob stacle courses open to upperclass men. Last week the athletic depart ment scheduled the hardening classes for college men and the navy in a program which will de vote more than 18,000 man hours per week to physical fitness. Photography Exhihit Opens In Book Nook Photography addicts have an opportunity to see the best in' col lege students' contributions to salons in the Associated Collegiate Press traveling salon show now on exhibit in the Union Book Nook. The exhibit arrived Monday and will be on display until Saturday, Oct. 3. Colleges all over the coun try are represented.
