Regardless of your outlook on the subject of international affairs, don't be an isolationist in your profession. That's the advice of Dr. Emmett A. Betts, director of the reading clinic at Pennsylvania State col lege. "Human knowledge cannot be isolated and classified in clean cut categories," Dr. Betts says. "Neither can a given profession serve best by following a policy of isolation. The debt of a pro fession to society can be paid only by co-operating with all the agencies for the promotion of hu man welfare and happiness." The educator believes one of the prime difficulties in the way of such co-operation is failure to understand the terms used in other professions. An interchange of mutual problems in professional study groups, he declares, would overcome that obstacle and enable members of different professions to "talk the same language." f. if 4 ,J',.-V. ,. , S , . t 7 y .ft; .'t !-, A) II HwltllM III ' ' . - Eddie Carr, Ronnie Kaye and Billy House stars of Olsen and Johnson, s "Hellzapoppin" now playing at the Paramount theatre in Omaha, will present their last Omaha performance at the mat inee Thursday. Criminologist Concludes Lust to Kill Rampant PITTSBURGH, (ACP). Finding the lust to kill most rampant during boom years, a criminolo gist concludes the "murder barom eter" is due to rise with business indices. Dr. Walter A. Lunden, crim inology professor at University of Pittsburgh, bases his deductions on a year-long research into 2,500 murders committed in Pittsburgh and surrounding Allegheny county from 1905 to 1940. "We found 494 murders were committed in the boom years of 1925 -29 only 53 less than the total for the 10-year depression period from 1930 thru 1939," he l iy$r .v t : " F.ciwr Tf ll M TIMED F0R HOLIDAY BUYING!
