Behind 9-8 at half time, the Angels surged to victory with a late scoring thrust that could not be stopped in a rally featured by one-handers by Tay Lewis and Clair Miller. The Dark Horse quint led thru out the first half, as neither team could develop a consistent scoring punch. With free throws predom inating, Dark Horse assumed a 5-3 lead, when Al Canfield's free throw and Tay Lewis's one handed archer sent the Angels ahead. Here Robb Robinson dribbled in twice for setups to end the half with th Dark Horses clinging to a narrow margin. .,,,., . , 'jf 29 : 1 After a two month vacation fol lowing the Rose Bowl game, Husker footballers returned to spring practice under the east sta dium Monday. Sixty-eight gridiron contenders checked out uniforms, worked out lightly and took plays Monday and Tuesday. Missing from the work outs were players whose positions will take a lot of filling, stars like Hermie Rohrig, Harry Hopp, Butch Luther, the Kahler boys, Forrest Behm, Ray Prochaska, Warren Alfson, Bus Knight and Ed Schwartzkopf. Missing for the present Is Allan Zikmund who won't be out for practice for at least a month more due to his broken leg which he sustained at the Bowl game.
