With a fancy 18-game schedule
before them, the Nebraska basket
ball team has little time for "bowl
fever" aid as a result they are
bisily engaged in preparation for
the opener at
Vermillion, S.
D., Dej. 6.

gunning for places on the start
ing five are, Johnny Hay, Lyle
King, Chuch Vacanti, Les Living
stone and Max Hudbert, a squad
man of two years ago.
Promising sophomores
Outstanding sophomores who
have been practicing daily include
John Fitzgibbon, John Thompson,
Wayne Kellogg, Warren Marquis,
Bob Bramson, Ted Greene, Stan
Huffman, and
Max Young.
The squad
will leave for
the Pacific
coast and a
game with the
University of
California on
Dec. 26. The
next evening
they will be
hosts of the
University of
Stanford at
Palo Alto.
There the team
will be endeav
oring to set the
pace for the football team who
has a date with the Stanford foot-

After the affair with Sanford
the team heads northwrad where
they will meet the Oregon Sate
college team at Corvallis. Then
back to Lincoln and a tussle with
the University of Wisconsin the
fourth of January. This winds up
the non-conference slate and the
regular round robin with the Big
Six teams starts Jan 7, with Kan
sas State college.
