It was a lirctl, worn, hut happy, student body Ilia! went to
hcd last night, after almost 24 lions of rallying. It's the first
time in Xehraska's history that she's heen KOKK HOWL hound,
and the whole town went nuts. There were rallies everywhere,
with "Howled over" students yelling "Let's go West, "'"Stam
pede Stanford," and "Our Team is Kcd-Ilot."

Dean T. J. Thompson, in commenting-
on the rallies of the day,
at G p. m. last night, said," This
display of enthusiasm today was
inevitable. No one could ponsibly
believe that Nebraska students
would take such a great tiling
calmly. I'm glad to see such spirit.
But now that we've had our dav
of celebration, I think it best that
we get back in the groove.

It isn't every day that Nebraska goes to the Rose Bowl, and it isn't every day that everyone plays hookey. But yesterday,

This cavalcade here marked the beginning of the day of rallies. Led by Cheerleitlcr Elton Wiley, the throng headed downtown, with a
makeshift band in tow, to blcck traffic, halt office activity, and stymie work in the FtUc house for more than a h,Mf hour.
