At long last . . .
Students can settle down
for finals with election over
By Agnes Wanek.
With the all-important Student
Council election out of the way,
things are beginning to settle
down to a little bit. . . and at least
for a while no one will ask or
tell you to vote Barb-Liberal or
Progressive or anything. Concen
tration seems to be on the big
things planned for the weekend,
part of which started last night
with the Theta-Phi Gam picnic.
Saturday plans include the DU pic
nic Fiji-Tau Tussle, and Kappa
Siij-Sigmo Nu Field Day. And the
lid's off for one final fling before
the blitzkrieg begins.
IT'S HERE!
At last, after waiting for these
many weeks, the Fiji-Tau Tussle
will come off Saturday. Plans
start in the afternoon when a
strictly stag contest will be held
to determine the possessor of the
Golden Gobloon, now held by the
Phi Gams who were triumph last
year. There will be dancing in the
evening beneath the light of
colored lanterns and the moon
(they hope). And a new feature of
the affair is the election of a Fiji
Tau queen. No one seems to know
on what basis the election will be
made, but a queen will reign.
