DAILY NEBRASKAN
Wind blows in lots of good week
end parties to whoop up the last
minute fun of the year. . .this is
the week end of the Triad, the
PiKA party, the Delt party, and
the Kappa house party, on the SOS
theme. . .at the Kappa party were
ATO Don Moss and Dotty Kutch
er; John Motl, Phi Delt, and Ro
zanne Sheehan; John Brownlee,
Beta, and lbs Waugh; Verna Ray
and ATO John Mason... and at
the Turnpike Friday night were
DU Howard Linch ana Theta Bar
bara Scott; Delta Gamma Harriet
Talbot and Sigma Chi Bill Butz;
AOPi Charlotte Utt and DU Jack
Nelson and all of the kiddies out
there doing the new Chestnut Tree
drag... at the Triad last night
were Beta Bob Aden and AOPi
Ruth Wilbur; Kappa Jean Humph
rey and Beta Bob rillbury; Theta
Pris Chain and Tom Luhe; Theta
Virginia Stoddard and Sigma Chi
Ty Kokjer; Delta Gamma Polly
Perkins and Mark Shorts; Kappa
Marion Cramer and Phi Delt Paul
Mathews; Theta Betty O'Shea and
Beta Bill Sweeney. . .and all in all,
it was the brightest three-frat
party. . .and to go to scenes around
the campus we might mention
that on the "going stronger" list
is the affair of SAE Warren Ro
mans and Frannie Wrightsman,
Theta, even tho she was at the
Triad with Phi Delt Eddie Brega
. . . and at the Phi Mu house, one
of the more novel candy passings
took place when an arrow flew in
the window to announce candy and
cigars from Mary Laura Beavers
and Gene Beck, Acacia. . .and now
that the Ivy Day week end excite
ment has somewhat died down, the
old study grind will take over for
another few days. . .

then shown one by one, and each
time the doctor asked if he held
the card I had chosen. I answered
"no" for every card including the
one chosen. The answer for the
card bearing "let" was given in
the same tone and manner in
which the others were given. After
repeating the test several times.
Ruckmick showed me the record
card he had kept. It clearly indi
cated that wjen I answered "no"
for the "let" card, I had lied. The
needle had hardly fluctuated for
the other answers even though I
had been slightly nervous during
parts of the demonstration.
Detector 90 Accurate.
"In the hands of a competent
operator, the lie detector is better
than 90 accurate. It indicates
changes in emotional state of thi1

instantaneous changes in the elec

glands in the palm of the hand."
explained the psychologist. "Girls
are better subjects than men.
