Second to have the "success symbol" slipped over her eyes was Janet Lau, Delta Gamma of Lin coln, and vice-president, followed by Mary Steuteville, Alpha Xl Delta from South Sioux City. Miss Steuteville, masked by Harriet Cummer, to be secretary, is in the arts and science college. Her activities include vice presi dency of A. W. S., Tassels, former news editor of the DAILY NE- BRASkan, junior-Senior prom com. mittee, Vestals of the Lamp, Theta Sigma Phi, journalism hon orary, and Alpha XI Delta. Faith Medlar to be treasurer. Faith Medlar of Lincoln, re ceived th mask for treasurer, and Peggy Sher burne, also of Lincoln, will serve as his torian. Nine other junior women leading in cam p u s activities were masked as the serious fa c e d Mortar Boards moved in and out of the crowd and "pounced upon their prey" amid the de lighted shrieks of spectators. They are: Virginia Clemans, Helen Kovanda, Mary Jo Henn, Jean Hooper, Selma Hill, Marian Kidd, Melva Kime, Fern Steute ville, twin aister of the new secre tary, and Priscilla Wicks. The new president has been a member of the A. W. S. board, W. A. A. council, vice-president of the W. A. A., a member of the junior-senior prom committee and Vestals of the Lamp, arts and sci ence honorary. Has been on Cornhusker staff. Vice-President Lau, masked by Frances Boldman, is a member of the student council, A. W. S. board and Vestals of the Lamp; has been a staff editor of the Cornhusker, regimental sponsor for the R. o. T. C, and rush chair man for Delta Gamma. Masked by Josephine Rubnitz, treasurer, Medlar is a member of Coed Counsellor board, Y. W. C. A. cabinet. Vestals of the Lamp and barb A.W. S. board. VIRGINIA FRIDAY, MAY 5, 1939 Roy Proff itt second man in Innocents Art Hill chosen new secretary; Fred Stiner tapped as treasurer Thirteen crimson gowned sen iors, tired of their four long years of work to attain membership into the highest men's honorary on th Nebraska campus, turned over the priceless keys of their secert ar chives to 13 enthusiastic juniors, ready to carry on the duties, as the traditional tappings of Innocents ended the gala Ivy day festivities, yesterday afternoon. In a drama that brought cries and tears of enthusiasm from a crowd of anxious students and par ents, each new member, after being tapped by outgoing Inno cents, took his place in the organi zatlon which fosters campus tradl tions and is supreme in the word of the activity man. Boucher tapped first. In an atmosphere that was tense with anticipation, the 13 members of the society surrounded and tapped their first new member Chancellor C. S. Boucher.
