After a decade of attempts Ne
braska has done it they tromped
the all powerful Minnesota foot
ball team. So tonight we cele
brate and tomorrow morning we
crawl out of bed wearily; if we
crawl out at all. It has taken the
boys till now, quite late in the
day, to realize the feat we accom
plished this afternoon. Minnesota
was our opponent, and we con
quered them, finally.
Whoopee will reign supreme to
night along fraternity and soror
ity row, in the downtown hotels,
and in every nook and cranny of
this victory crazed football town.
Dampening the squad's festivi
ties tonight, however, will be the
thought of Eldon Mcllravy, our
fullback who was critically hurt
this afternoon. If it hadn't been
for Mac backing up that line, per
haps we wouldn't be celebrating.
Well here we go, so do not dis
turb us until Monday.

Commission Members to Hold
Initial Discussions
In Ellen Smith.
Initial meetings of Y, W. Fresh
man Commission groups will be
held all week in Ellen Smith hail
under the direction of Y. W. C. A.
members.
Women students may attend
these groups without being mem
bers of the organization. The pur
pose of freshman commissions has
always been to acquaint neophy
tes with campus traditions and fa
miliar campus terms as well as
discussing personal problems of
etiquette, boy and girl relations
and the value derived from college.
Leaders of the groups and the
time they will hold meetings are
as follows: Mary Arbitman, Mon
day at 10 a. m.; Betty Clizbe, Tues
day at 2p.ni.; Lois Cooper, Tues
day, at 4 p. m.
Kay Lindbald will meet with her
group Wednesday at noon; Eliza
beth Smith, Wednesday at 4 p. m.;
Muriel White, Thursday at 2 p. m.;
Eleanor Anderson, Thursday at 4
p. m., and M&rjorie Meyer, Fri
day at 11 a. m.
