II was a. fa.se of good to better
as intramural director Harold G.
Petz announced today that the
1037 program will completely
eclipse the already well rounded
intrafrat outlay of last year.
In addition to the competition
of fraternal organizations and
barbs, the intramural department
will thi.s year cola borate with the
U. O. T. C. in the holding: of ath
letic competition for all school
army units.
"We feel that the recreational,
healthful, social and other benefits
to bo derived from such a pro
gram are of value to every .stu
dent snd that each one will take
full advantage of this opportunity
lo be a part of an organized ath
letic program." declared Petz. I
The basis of competition will be !
tile respective 11. O. T. C. units. I
It is believed that such a program I
will create more interest within
the units. 1
Department Supervision,
All sports will be supervised bv j
the intramural department. Offi
cial.' and equipment will also be '
furnished by that office. Intra-'
mural directors will compose all :
schedules, keep all lernrds and in-I

At the close of the season.
awards will be made .similar to i
those given to fraternity winners. I

inlra-company competition, which
include touch football, basket
ball, volley ball and soft ball.
Round Robins.
Round robins will compris,. the
preliminary play just as former
intramurals, and finals will be in
the form of tourneys. Scoring will
be nearly identical to the Greek
program. Since entrance points
will be given to each team, it will
be to each company's advantage
to enter many teams.
All men competing in two

winning company team will bo

Eligibility of fraternity play
will also apply to the R. 6. T. C.

(Link the Lymon is nearly a dead

Mehring and English, guards;
Brock, center; Howell, Andrews,
Dodd, and Mcllravy, backs. This
bunch is looking sturdier,
smoother and faster each day. The
line is better than that handed out
during rush week; in fact, prob
ably one of the best since 1022,
but the backfield is low on re
placements. Looking over the schedule, thi.s
