than a bee hive ha chambers.
Sutherland supposedly asked for
spending or whoopee money for
his victorious boys. This was de
nied by Harrison and Jock dug
deep and procured the dough.
The cirwm-iv Sent has been in
the mining school for 13 years and lowl sti,e
has the famed record of multi wins Tntm
against only 13 losses. Sutherland
has developed as many All Amer

Rockne. His teams have been on
the pinnacle of footballdom every
one of his 13 anni. Every player
who has played under the hard
driving Doctor Sutherland pledges
allegiance to him, especially since
this "showdown business" has
turned up. All over the country
alumni are banding together in a
strike which they cannot take sit

Frank Groves, K-State's center,
io ih new holder of the scorine
record in the Big Six conference.
In the K-Aggie-iowa state game
last Monday, Groves accounted for
19 points to take him past the rec
ord established last season by Ray
Ebling of Kansas who totaled 141.
Groves' record of 154 points is

points over the 141 of Ray Ebling
last year, uroves aiso nung up
new all season record for this time
of scheduled play. His 631 points
are high for three years of compe
tition. Groves' style of play is incom
parable. The Kaggie center lopes
like a stubborn colt and shoots
like his arms were out of gear,
but he gets where he wants and
what he wants.
Coach D. X. trotted his new
Longhorn grid herd onto the field
yesterday in the first of a spring
workout. For the first day the
turnout was some 70 athletes.
This was a shade better than the
number answering roll on Ne
braska's first day last spring, but
rumor has it that the Little Colonel
didn't fcpot many promising frames
At this point we would like to
nominate a tentative all Big Six
quintet. The thing will be se
lected by me ac a committee of
one, but as I vote 5 times in the
sake of justice, I see only one
unanimous choice.
Here is a rough estimate of
the conference cr?,im and believe
me it was a tough job for our
one cylindered separator: For
wards: Klimek, Iowa State, and
Rogers, Kansas (4 votes); or
Flemming, Iowa State, and
Amen, Nebraska (3 votes).
Center: Groves, Kansas State
(unanimous). Guards: Parsons,
Nebraska, and Martin, Oklahoma
(4 votes per).

The chancellor's only words
were that he would intervene

This columnist has it that if

score stands thusly: Harrison
