VALENTINES and Valentine's
day will provide the appointments
tonight for buffet suppers at the
houses of four university fraterni
ties. At the Sigma Chi house the
mothers club under the direction
of Mrs. Cora Bentley will enter
tain for active members and their
dates. At 6:30 o'clock the active
chapter of Alpha Tau Omega and
guests will be honored by the com
bined mothers club and auxiliary.
Both pledges and actives will en
tertain this evening- at the Kappa
Sigma house when members of the
mothers club will serve supper at
i:30 o'clock. Hostesses for a buf
fet suppei at the Phi Gamma
Delta house will be the mothers
club also. In charge of arrange
ments are Mesdamcs G. S. Hamil
ton. L. E. Minier, D. E. Ruden,
F. E. Melker, Richard Stout. K. G.
Maggi. Durrel Hinkle and Fred
Easterday.

WHEN PHI MU mothers met at
the chapter house for luncheon
Friday afternoon, nlans were :ide
to entertain members of the ac
tive chapter and their dates at a
buffet supper in the near future.
Using the patriotic theme in ap
pointments, places were marked
for 20. Hostesses were Mrs. Emer
son Jones, Mrs. Earl Powell and
Mrs. Oan Haney.
JUDGE POLK of the municipal
court was the featured speaker at
the smoker given by Delta Theta
Phi law fraternity recently. Hie
smuk'-r was held in the dubrooiiis
of the law college.
THREE STDENTS were pledg
ed this week to fraternites. Frank
