FRIDAY, MARCH 29. '1935. FOUR , . in 1-4 ism i iwiMiaunnn ' " THE KNITTING CRAZE IS UPON US. Everywhere everybody is knitting sweaters, skirts and even purses. Tlie prevalence of the pastime isn't confined t:i Nebraska either, for niaseuline follow ers of the sport (if it might be milled that) at Colombia have organized u new fraternity, Knitta Knatta Nu, designed H further the hobby, ami maybe make it national. Here, gals are taking their knitting hither and yon. and we saw one in class, purling, casting off, and easting on, just as though the professor weren't delivering a highly educational lecture- It all goes to show, however, that it's possible to do two things at once, ami if w; can knit and get "iggieated" at the same time, by all means let's do it. It will be a fine demonstration to prove that Ne braska students aren't as one-track minded as many people think. o RECENTLY elected officers of Delta Delta Delta are Rowena Mil ter, president; Frances Knuteson, vice president; Maxine Smith, sec retary; and Wilma Jordon, treasurer. AT TH E home of Mrs. Florence Reed, yesterday evening, members of Phi Chi Theta, women's honor ary business sorority, met for a buffet supper. Spring flowers fur nished the decorations, and Alfreda Johnson, national president of the organization, and Mrs. Reed were in charge of arrangements for the affair. After the supper, the twenty-two guests watched an im promptu character sketch present ed by alumnae members of Phi Chi Theta. WEDNESDAY night Mary Ger lach burst into the Cornhusker wearing an ultra smart pair of blue pajamas. We are sure that she wasn't walking in her sleep, and that she wasn't trying to make an 8 o'clock so we put two and two together and it added up to the dr;ss rehearsal of the Coed Follies. e TONIGHT the Barb A. Reinhardt and Mr. and Mrs. William J. Newtns will be the chaperons. DELTA OMICRON held formal pledging hist night at a regular business meeting. Those pledged were Alice Redwood, Claire Alice Davis and Betty Van Home. CALLING AL CARS! Calling all cars! It's time that the campus crime ring be uncovered, appre hended and brought into court. Not so very long ago there swam hap pily in a bowl at the Kappa Sig house seven little gold fish, "Pop eye," "Wimpy," and more named after the brethern. And then, one dark night, when the Kappa Sigs were in bed, or someplace, the fish disappeared. Val Verges, fond owner of the animals, has strong suspicions, and the Daily Nebras kan, if called into court, might possibly reveal the identity of a certain want ad-runner, who brazenly announced himself as the best kidnaper the campus has seen since the Sig Alphas locked the Kappa pledges in the .basement of the chapter house. In the mean time, however, bets have been in creasing on the possibility, and the probability of the present condi tion of the fish. Kappa Sigs have chosen this as a medium between the past and present owners, and Bob Teeple says the little dears must have non-sink fish food for A Spring Afternoon Drives Dl! vfui know mat you ran ta a drive of 20 miles m lor on!v 1120 P St. Phone B6819 Motor Out Company -ty Alw.iyi Open WHAT'S DOING.
