A GOOD TIME IS PRACTI

everyone on the campus this
week end. With five house
parties, an all university dance
in the coliseum, many Dad's
Day affairs, and one of the
best games of the season, to say
nothing of the nationally fa
mous Herbie Kay all in town
at once, who couldn't enjoy
themselves? Reservations for
this last affair started pouring
in about two weeks ago. As far as we can find out all the
tickets have been gone for some time. Rumors have it that
Lincoln may hear Wayne King, Jan Garber, and even Guy
Lombardo it s a good idea anyway

o'clock la being given by the Barb
council. The permanent decora
tions are being used and it is ru
mored that the lighting arrange
ment may be changed. Music will
be furnished by Pat Ash and his
Tiin Cinders, and Mr, and Mrs,
Stephen M. Corey, Mr. and Mrs.
O. W. Remmutn, ana Mr. ana Mrs.
Charles B. Nutting will chape-
rone.
NEBRASKA ACACIAS will be
represented at their national con
ference being held In Lawrence,
Kas. this week end by Eugene f.
Allen and Louis J. Larson, both of
Sioux City, la. Both delegates left
by train una morning lor tne con
vention, and will return to Lincoln
Sunday night. The conference
closes Sunday afternoon.
SIX ALPHA CHI Os returned
to Lincoln this week end to attend
the District Teachers meeting.
They include Pauline Strickler,
Arlene Steeple, Harriet Dunlap,
Jean Alden, Mrs. Paul Davies, and
Mrs. William GodenhaL
WHILE HALLOWEEN IS still
officially five days off, the West
minister Fellowship of the West
minister Presbyterian church is
giving a party with the Halloween
motif Saturday night at 8 o'clock
in the Brown Bear Cabin at Pio
neer Park. Members and friends
of the organization will leave the
church promptly at 7:30.
AND MORE sorority alumns
are back In town for the annual
teachers convention. We saw Mil
dred Sherman, Thetas, and Ruth
Preston, a Pi Phi.
A FOUNDER of Pi Lambda
Theta. women's educational or
ganization, will address members
of the local chapter at a Founder's
day luncheon being held at the
city Y. W. C. A. this Saturday
noon. She is Miss Ella V. Dobbs.
TO NIGHT boys will don over
alls and girls will appear in cot
ton dresses for this is the evening
of the annual Farmers' Formal
which is being held at the Activi
ties building on the Ag campus at
8:30 o'clock. Mr. and Mrs. W. W,
Burr, Mr. and Mrs. T. D. Kelm,
and Miss Margaret Fedde will
chaperone. The party is a program
affair and dancing will be started
by a grand march. The climax of
the affair will be the presentation
of the Farm Formal Queen whose
identity will not be revealed until
this time.

house party at the chapter house
this evening at 8:30 o clock. Chap
erones will be Prof. Lane W. Lan
caster. Prof. William Walton, and
Mrs. Myra Cox. Lancing Ander
son is in charge of arrangements.

campus tonight will be given by
the Phi Sigma Kappa's at 8:30
o clock. The affair will be chap-
eronea by Mr. ana Mrs. Charles E.
Miller, and Mr. and Mrs. Gregg
McBride.
ALPHA TAU OMEGA will en
tertain at a party at the chapter
house this evening. Prof. D. W.
Dysinger, and Major and Mrs. J.
P. Horan are to be the chaperones.
The social chairman, Bill Fisher,
is in charge of arrangements for

DELIAN UNION Literary So
ciety will hold a party at the
Delian Union hall this evening at
8:30 o'clock. Verla Chapman, who
is planning the affair, has asked
Miss Edith Anderson, Miss Esther
S. Anderson, aid Mr. and Mrs. T.
T. Aakhus to chaperone.
THE FAMILIES of students
have a large week end ahead of
them. Many of the houses on the
campus have planned dinners,
luncheons, or receptions in their
honor. And of course there is the
Dad's day luncheon at the cham
ber of commerce at 12 o'clock
which is being given by the Inno
cents. Decorations for this affair,
according to Frank Crabill who is
arranging them, will be large Ne
braska pennants hung from the
ceiling and distributed thruout the
room. Burt Marvin is general
chairman in charge of the ban
quet.

THOSE WHO have planned a
dinner at their chapter houses in
honor of their fathers are: Alpha
Tau Omega, Delta Sigma Phi,
Delta Tau Delta, Delta Upsilon,
Phi Delta Theta, Phi Sigma Kap
pa, and Sigma Chi. The Acacia's
have arranged to have a smoker
after the game.
PI BETA PHI is planning to

house after the game Saturday in
honor of the parents of its mem

Johns Takes Geology Job.
Wendell Johns, graduate of the
department of geology, has ac
cepted a position as assistant
geologist for the Texas company.
He will be located in Shawnee,
Okl.
A Phi Delt at Northwestern
