had a great career which im
pressed the whole community."
Tribute to Dr. Fling was paid in
a resolution issued jointly by J. C.
Mitchell and Charles A. Bowers,
president and secretary of the Ne
braska State Teachers association.
Professor Fling was a member
of the American Historical asso
ciation and La Societe de la Rev
olution Francaise. He founded the
Nebraska Historical Teachers asso
ciation in 1907 and was one of the
100 elected to the Hall of Fame.

women in the same lodging house
is not approved and is not per
mitted unless the circumstances
are unusual. In this case permis
sion must be granted by the dean
of women.
2. A lady, housing women stu
dents, is expected to provide for
their use until 11 o'clock, Sunday,
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and
Thursday evening and until 12
o'clock Friday and Saturday eve
ning, a reception room on the firt
floor, properly lighted. All rules
referring to the reception room ap
ply to the piazza.
3. The doors shall be locked not
later than 11 o'clock, except Fri
day and Saturday evening, when
the doors shall be locked not later
than 12 o'clock.
4. All girls shall have their
rooms in order by 1 o'clock, in
spection by 1 p. m.
5. All girls shall report to the
house-mother where they are go
ing and register in the sign-out
book according to rules.
6. Each house Bhall elect a
house-mother and act as a pen
alizing board.
7. The house committee and
house-mother are empowered to in
flict penalties for violation of
these rules. When necessary they
may report to the office of tin
dean of women.
8. There shall be no smoking on
the premises.
