November 25 and 26 have been
net an the dates for the installation
of the thirty-third chapter of Chi
Phi fraternity and the initiation 01
twenty-seven active members of
Alpha Theta Chi into that group.
Many alumni are expected to re
turn to the campus for the event
for which the Cornhusker hotel
will serve as headquarters.
Invitations have been issued to
Chancellor E. A. Burnett, Dean T.
J. Thompson, Assistant Dean W.
C. Harper, Prof E. W. Schramm
and the presidents of all Nebraska
fraternities to attend the final ban
quet at the Cornhusker on Satur
day, Nov. 26.
Among the prominent alumni of
Alpha Theta Chi who will be here
for the ceremonies are: Chancel
lor Frederick M. Hunter of the
Universit yof Denver, who will be
toastmaster at the banquet; Dean
Irving S. Cutter of the Northwest
ern Medical school; John D. Clark,
chairman of the economics depart
ment. University of Denver, and
William M. Poynter of the Ne
braska Medical college.

Chi 0 Alumnae Meet.
The Chi Omega alumnae met for
luncheon Wednesday with Mrs. A.
M. Gaddis at her home 1842
Pepper avenue, with Mrs. Edward
Jungbluth, Mrs. Karl Arndt and
Mrs. Frank Wright as assisting
hostesses. Lavender and white
chrysanthemums were used on the
luncheon table. A business session
and social hour followed for the
twenty present.
Mothers Club Meets.
The Mothers club of Sigma
Alpha Epsilon met Friday for a
covered dish luncheon at the home

Davies of Utica joined the group I
of sixteen at the luncheon and ;
business meeting. j
Plans for a second Sunday night
supper to be held . at the Alpha
Theta Chi chapter house Nov. 20 ,
were made at the Friday meeting
of the auxiliary of that fraternity

Hall Is Presented.

ties as well as to housemothers.
Initiation Is Held.
Dr. Paul Johnston, pastor ol'
Westminster church and Dean J.
E. LeRossignol of the College of
Business Administration will be
initiated as members of Alpha
Theta Chi Sunday afternoon. The
ceremony will start at 4 o'clock.
They will become members of
Chi Phi fraternity when that group
becomes the thirty-third chapter
Nov. 25 and 26.
HONORARY SELLS FRUIT
CAKES.
Phi Upsilon Omicron, home eco
nomics honorary, is carrying on
an annual fruitcake sale which is
under the management of Muriel
Moffit. The money received from
the sale of these cakes is used for
professional work.
"Keep off the grass" signs on
the campus of Washington and
Jefferson college were replaced
with placards reading "Please
walk on the grass." President
Hutchinson explained that he en
joyed walking on the grass, and
that he was more interested in stu
dents than in the lawn.
