Austin School Plays Game
At Lincoln; Boasts
Classy Team.
University of Texas Longhorns
will open the Nebraska grid sched
ule next fall at Lincoln, it was
announced Thursday morning at
the athletic department otnce.
With the signing of the Texas
game which occurred Wednesday
night at Austin, the Husker sched
ule makers have concluded the
slate of home games. Four state
universities will play at Memorial
stadium in 1933, the list including
Texas, Kansas, Iowa and Okla
homa.
Head Coach Dana X. Bible de
clared Thursday that a fifth tilt
away from home may be secured,
which would fill out the nine eame
schedule undertaken in the last
few years. Negotiations are under
way with several schools on me
Pacific coast and in the south, but
Bible asserted that "only a repre
sentative team" would oe signea.
The contract with Texas U. will
be a one-year pact. University of
Nebraska officials have not as yet
received formal notification of the
contract from the Austin school.
It was the Longhorns who ad
ministered a 65 to 0 drubbing to
Missouri this fall, and tooK uki
homa into camp by a 17 to 10
score, so the Cornhuskers will un
doubtedly be playing a nrst ciass
team next .tail.
