SALES OF YEARBOOKS
BETTER OLD RECORDS
Campaign Tops Results of
Opening Drive Last
Year.
More Cornhuskers have been
sold during the first days of the
sale than had been sold during the
same period in the opening sales
campaign last year, it was revealed
Monday evening, when a checkup
of all sales had been made.
If 1,000 books are sold the ulti
mate price will be $3.95 on cash
payment plan and $4.20 on install
ments, which plan would be car
ried out by a refund when the
books are obtained next spring.
"The record low cash price of
$4.25 is already the lowest in the
Big Six and a possible refund
makes the greatest proposition
ever offered in the purchasing ef a
year book," Business Manager
Charles Skade stated.
Sales competition has been keen
as an outgrowth of the prize of
$25 worth of merchandise offered
by Magee's to the member of the
sales staff selling the highest num
ber of annuals during the contest.
Tassels, Corn Cobs and staff mem
bers are in charge of the cam
paign. Every individual selling Corn
huskers will be eligible for the
prize excepting the assistant busi
ness managers and the managing
editors of " the annual's regular
staff.
Interest is also growing in the
Cornhusker coed contest, accord
ing to Skade. Any girl on tl
campus is eligible for one of these
positions and anyone purchasing a
Cornhusker may vote.
With only four days to go the
business manager urged that stu
dents take advantage of possible
savings by ordering now before
the sale closes Friday, Nov. 11.
