to a 13 to 7 victory over Peru
Normal here Saturday night.
Raugh went over for Nebraska
in the first twelvo minutes of play
after a series of plunges and for
ward tosses had advanced the ball
to the Peru 5-yard line. Staab
placekicked the extra point to give
the Huskers a 7-0 lead.
Sautter tallied for Peru in the
second quarter from the 8-yard
line. He also contributed the extra
point with a placekicK. After
Sautter's tcuchdown the scoring
was ended until the final period
when Roby swept Around end for
forty yards and Nebraska's second I
counter, staaos attempted kick
was blocked.
Ihe game ended with Nebraska
camped on the Peru 13-yard line
headed for another touchdown.

Raugh, Staab and Roby were
outstanding in the backfield for
the winners while Leffel plaved a
whale of a game at center. Saut
ter and the two Hatchers. Howard
and Homer, led the Peru attack.

feat at the hands of the Haskell 1
Indians in Lawrence Friday night.
Johnson, big Indian fullback dove ,
through the Kansas line for the
lone counter in the third period of
the game.
The Indians held the advantage
all through the game, and although
the first half went scoreless, they
made twice as much yardage as
the Kansans and completed eight
first downs to the Jayhawks two.
In the second half of the game
was entirely in favor of Haskell.
Kansas fumbled twice on their
own 11-yard line but recovered;
they punted to Weller. who re
turned to the 32-yard line. Then a
pass, Johnson to Edee t the ball
on the Kansas 12-yard line. The
Indian fullback then put the ball
over in four straight plunges thru
the line. Weller's try for extra
point was blocked.
Kansas Threatens Once.
Kansas threatened the Indians
only twice, once when the only
completed Kansas pass neted
twenty yards and another time
when Schaake, Jayhawk back cut
thru tackle for thirty-two yards.
Haskell made thirteen first
downs to the Jayhawks four and
gained 233 yards against Kansas
103 yards.
