Will they win ? This is a question which only time can decide. The bi question is this: What sort of a reception will they be Riven if they come back with the game won, lost or tied? If they come back with a victory the school will settle back com placently and take victory as a matter of course. Iowa State has bowed so often to Nebraska that people over the state are beginning to take it as a settled fact that Ne braska will wallop Ames. If the game is lost or tied the wolves will be out again. They will gather in packs and snap at the heels of Coach BiM rnd his team. AIN'T human na i-e grand? It's just another ca of the old army game "passing the buck." If the team wins they receive the credit. If the team loses everybody within gunshot gets out his little revolver and goes gunning for the coach. As soon as a coach around Ne braska loses a game he is sunk alumni all over the state yell for his removal and a search is then started for a new coach. Ernie Bearg was a good coach, and turned in plenty of victories for Nebraska. Yet, when he lost a game, the wolves got loose again and yapped until he went to Wabash. o NE alumnas, who was one of tho rteKt ends ever to TJlav at Nebraska, expressed himself aa believing that it was Impossible to keep a good coach at Nebraska. "They don t consider nis maiermi nr orn-thincr else." he said. "All they want is games won and he lin lu urim-i w. - ' ) Let's hope the yappers will shut ( their mouths and give Bible a j chance to really develop some- thing. Confronted with material j which does not measure up to the standards of former Nebraska teams, Bible has done his work well. Other schools in the Eig Six turn out football teams. Nebraska doesn't have any monopoly on the good men. QUALITY CARS Vou can at any hour get a high grade RENT-A-CAR from us. Our rates have recently been lowered. We offer special rates for long trips.
