Only fivs men have coiue
through ths qualifying round of
the men s golf tournament, reports
the athletic department, and since
their qualifying scores determine
quite accurately their standing in
the tournament there will be no
final round tor so few.
O. L. Webb. David City, and M.
R, Colson, Alliance are tied with
a medal score average or 82 and
will each receive nine golf balls.
A. B. Gelwick, Falta City, Is next
with 83 and a price of one pair of
golf hose. G. W. Ilildreth, oa-
land. with 88 and FA Whiting,
Gordon, with 98 will divide a half
dozen golf balls between them
selves.

feels it Is regrettable that more of
the old guard faculty members
didn't get warmed up to the tour
nament this year. Maybe they
were too warm on account or me
weather, he says.

formerly a student at the Univer

ate of teachers college, Columbia
university. He was for a time
with the Clinton school, and has
