universities and colleges, forty-one
(ollej:e class institutions, eighteen
out of state high schools and more
than a hundred Kansas hich
schools have listed athletes in The
program of fourteen relay races
and ten special Individual events.
The 100-yard dash promises to
he the classiest assembled jrroup of
sprint stars yet starting this sea
son, including- Cy Leland. flying
halfback of Texas Christian uni
versity; Claude Bracey. Rice insti
tute flash and former Olympic
tram member; Kddie Tolan. negro
speedster of the University of
Michigan: Jack Ford of North
western university: Mike Treps of
Marquette university, and a score
of other notables from the Big Six,
Western conference and other sec
tions of the middle west and south
west. Winners of last year at the
Kansas relays who will be here to
defend their titles include Lee
Prntman of the. University of Illi
nois, in the 120-yard high hurdles;
R. M. Leas of the University of In
diana tn the 3.000 meters run:
Parker Shelby of the University of
Oklahoma, M. Perkins of the Uni
versity of Texas, and Robert Carr
of the University of Illinois, all of

Decathlon Entries.
The decathlon, the only event of
the Kansas relayi proper that r is
on Friday and Saturday, has
drawn a field of twelve entries.
