The harmony trio, composed of Mildred Mellck and Bernice Nelson, voice; and Lawrence Tollman, saxophone accompanied by Betsy Benedict, furnished several numbers. A unique boxing match was staged by Howard Keck and Ralph Bush, who, blindfolded, fought on their hands and knees. The only weapons used were newspapers. The program was open to the general public. Dr. F. A. Stuff, president of the Palladian alumni association, together with Mrs. Stuff and Mrs. Briggs were the guests of honor. TO SPEAK AT VESPERS Mrs. Webb Will Tell About 'Chinese Girls and Their Homes.' Mrs. A. H. Webb, who three years ago was forced by the na tionalist revolution In China to re turn to the United States, will describe the "Chinese Girls and Their Homes" at the vesper serv ice at 5 o'clock on Tuesday after noon in Ellen Smith hall. Dr. Webb was a medical mis sionary and was in charge of a hospital In western China, where Mrs. Webb had occasion for very close contact with the Chinese. Dr. and Mrs. Webb were in China for five years. Preceding the vesper service Mrs. Webb will display some of the interesting things she collected in China. The meeting will be led by Marie Broad. ' The "Nebraska in Shanghai" staff under the direction of Min nie Ncmechck is in charge of the service. Beginning March S this staff will sponsor a "Nebraska in Shanghai" education week when several doctors frrm China will speak on the campus. Nebraska Clirmist Gets Job in Canadian Factory Mr. A. J. Rymes, who received his master's degree from the de partment of chemistry at the Uni versity of Nebraska three years ago, has recently been removed to the Hamilton, Ontario, plant of the Proctor and Gamble company. METHODIST STUDENTS E Delegates Receive First of Series on 'Problems And Pleasures Members of the Methodist stu dent council will conduct a ques tionnaire aeries through the nine Methodist churches of the city. Feb. 17 and 18, under the direction of Mr. Burton I. Staples. The exhibits of handmade rugs, metal work and sand paintings will be held this year in Elephant hall. The event marks the return of the Navajo Indians and their art work to the campus. Last year the exhibition aroused a more than normal amount of interest and the rooms of the art association were crowded. Mr. Staples will give a lecture on the arts and crafts of the Navajo Indian, a day prior to the showing, Sunday afternoon, Feb. 16, at 4 o'clock, In Morrill hall. AL L Pie Feed Is Part of Second Semester Party for Bizad Students. The second semester smoker and pie feed of the Mens Commercial club will be held at the Temple Thursday night, according to an nouncement made by Al Hook, president of the organization. The Men's Commercial club Is a part of the extra-curricular pro gram of the college of business ad ministration. It sponsors occa sional luncheons and other meet ings. The membership is composed of more than 100 men of the college. The coming smoker is open to all men of the college whether they are members of the club or not.
