Explains Increasing
Value of Training
For Business.
rvan J E. LeRossimol cf the
college of business administration,
addressed the Omaha Association
of Credit Men Thursday on the
subject, -University Training for
Business."
He emphasized the growing nec
essity for education and knowledge
in business life, stressing the fact
that although today the business
world is full of ren whose educa
tions have been neglected, tn the
future the man who succeeds will
be tie man who has learned the
underlying laws arid principles of
business. He stressed the impor
tance of pe.-fooslity In business
from the psychological standpoint.
He discussed tie history of busi
ness, todudicg the era of appren
ticeship, which RnaJJy gave way
to a mper efficient education in
schools cf higher training. Busi
ness, he savs, is fast becoming a
profession ralfcer man a inuw. m
that it begins to demand knowl
edge, and is mental rather than
manual. The business world is
calling for men with higher train
ing; training in economic, ac
counting, business law and psy
chology. This new demand for business
men with higher educations and a
knowledge of all the workings of
the gaxie, accounts for tie grow
