Four Organisations Donat Prises to
Be Given to Lucky Number!
Program Presented
More than 1,200 tickets were sold
for the Kosmet Klub benefit bridge
held at the Lincoln hotel yesterday
afternoon. The bridge was spon
sored by all the soiuillles on the
campus.
Pi Beta Phi, Alpha Chi Omega,
Delta Gamma, and Kappa Kappa
Gamma each donated two prizes
which were given to the lucky num
bers. The entertainment consisted of the

hurled the javelin 169 feet, 8 1-2

Lambert followed his first sprint
performance with a nearly record
.breaking act for the 220 yard dash,
Itieing Easter's mark of 22 seconds their mark of 1:33.9 was the best in
15 1-2 counters. The two man team
of North Loup came through in great
shape, Fuller winning both the shot
and discus events in his class while
Schaffner picked up several points
in the hurdles.
j Tecumseh Wins
Tecumseh had easy going in Group
II walking off with twenty-eight
points a lead of ten and a half over
Nelson high, their closest rival. The
battle for third place was a hot af
fair with Crete, Gothenburg and
Cambridge finishing in the ordered
named.
Grand Island took Group III hon
ors with a total thirty-one and a
fourth points scoring heavy in the
low hurdles and counting in prac
tically every event. Lambert's flashy
work in the sprints with Panek's vic
tory in the high hurdle event in
Group III scored a big share of Kear
ney's points and brought them the
second place banner. Omaha Tech
was third.
Tecumseh high shared the majority
of the tpot light, three of their team
being individual event champions.
Casiord in the half-mile, Brillhart in
the lroad jump and Mathis in the
low hurdles were credited with the
best marks in these events, while
for the furlong. Mathis of Tecum
seh furnished the last record tieing
feat when he stepped over the low
hurdles to tie "Timber" Trumble's
time of 25.6 seconds.
Group I honors went to Randolph
high school witfi a total of 21 1-2
points. Fairfield was second with
eighteen and North Loup third with

on the Daily Nebraskan and a mem

ment, and the evils that were result
ing from uncontrolled child labor.
The negative contended that the idea
presented by the affirmative was im
practical as well as unnecessary.

A complimentary luncheon was

darsingh, a great Indian saint, and
Mahatma Candhi, another Indian
saint who though not a Christian is
said to have lived a life more like
Christ's than aiy other living man.
He is a leader of the non-cooperative
group in India. Dr. Stanley Jones, a
Methodist missionary and author of
"Christ of the Indian Road," will
also attend.
