Lewis. Each team will play four games in its respective league, with winners being determined on a per centage basis. Because of the late start, teams will be reouested to play two games this week, at times mutually ar ranged between the competing nines. No definite game pairings will be made, as Lewis has adopted the plan of allowing the fraternities in the various leagues to schedule their contests at times convenient for both. Seven Leagues Are Formed Seven leagues were formed in the classifying of the teams, each league containing five teams. The round robin form of play will be pursued, whereby each team must meet every other aggregation in its group. Contests will be played on the municipal diamonds leased to the athletic department for the tourna ment. All equipment necessary has been purchased by Lewis and may be checked out for games by frater nity athletic managers. Will File Results Results of each game played should be filed in the athletic office- before 6 o'clock on the day it is played, according to Lewis. Obed ience to this rule, he declared, will enable better publicity and smooth er operation of the tournament. An absence of favorites will char acterize this year's diamond classic. Tennis Tryouta Are Being Held for Southern Trip Tryouts for the varsity tennis team are being held this week for the trip to Missouri and Oklahoma this week end. Coach Bearg sta ted last evening that the probable lineup for the team will include Heacock, Elliot, Dubry and Davis. Some of the varsity tracksters served as officials for the meet. Coach Schulte promises a rigid practice ses sion for this afternoon in preparation for the Drake Relays which will be held at Des Moines Saturday, April 28. Coach Schulte announced Tuesday that a few tryouts for the distance runs in the Drake games would be held this afternoon. The Husker mentor will probably take a smaller squad to Des Moines than the one which competed in the Kansas Re lays last Saturday at Lawrence. Com petition is somewhat stronger at the Drake Relays than at Kansas since more Big Ten as will as other teams which did not compete at Kansas are on the Drake entry list. Runners Co Through Practice E. Wyatt, Chadderdon, and Janul- ewicz ran a 220-yard dash as a con ditioner, while the rest of the run- jners merely went through warming up exercises ana ran several short sprints. The weight men did little work Tuesday but are in for a hard practice period this afternoon since Coach Schulte is bent on developing this department of his squad which did not show up so well at the Kan sas Relays. A lot depends on this man if the Cornhuskers are to win the Missouri Valley track and field championship meet which will be held in Lincoln, May 20 and 21. Kappa Sigs Take N Honors in Meet (Continued from Page 1) Farm House scoring 15 points for his aggregation while Regains of Kappa Sigma agd Tomson of Phi Kappa Psi were close on his heels with 13 and 12 points respectively. Batie earned the distinction by vir tue of three wins in the half mile, mile and 2-mile events. Ragains, former Kearney high school flash, displayed top form in the hurdles, taking both the high and low barrier races. He also took third in the century dash and was a mem ber of the Kappa Sigma mile relay team that romped off with first place, in spite of a classy field of contest ants. ' Coke Is Phi Psi Star Cobe Tomson, Phi Kappa Psi star, scored all but seven of his team's total. He competed in both the dash and broad jump events, taking first place in the latter. Kappa Sigma, last year's intra mural champion, boosted its point total considerably in the 220 low hurdles, winning the first three places. Othmer of the winning team sprung a surprise in the high jump when he beat out Cook of Delta Tau Delta in a spirited contest. Trophy Goes to Winner A handsome bronze trophy goes to the winner of the meet, together with seventy-five points towards the inter-fraternity cup. The victory places the Kappa Sigma athletic dele gation in first place in the intramural race. Farm House formerly was leading. In capturing second place in yes terday's meet, Sigma Phi Epsilon displayed strength in the field events particularly, with Oehlrich, Husker football star showing the best per formance. He placed first in the 35 lb. weight and shot put and third in the discus. He based this conten tion on Locke's extraordinary ca reer at Nebraska. Locke, he declared, finds the go ing a bit tough in the 100 meter race with the competition he has to face, but in the furlong he is much better. - Graduate Bring Class for Visit Miss Mildred I from the University of Nebraska de partment of home , , "v""VO 411 . i visited the department with her high school class of home economics girls from Exeter, Nebraska, on Tuesday WANT ADS LOST: in S.
