studying moderfc sediments. It is a
contribution both of data and inter
pretation of materials to the science
of sedimentation.
Recently Dr. Lugh had an article
on Undertow in the Iowa Academy
of Science. The purpose of this re
port was to state very briefly some
obs ervations made on undertow
along the banks of the Mississippi
river, where the current was negligi
ble and the waves active.
