Y THE DAILY NEBRASKAN IN THE VALLEY By JACK ELLIOTT Since the Missouri Valley broke up there have been various opinions rendered by various schools throup-v out the country.' Dr. William Ed munds, athletic director at Washing ton University at St. Louis, thinks that Washington will benefit by hav ing the Valley teams down to four, at least Dr. Edmunds does not think that the withdrawal of the six major schools will hurt Washington any. The director at St. Louis thinks that now Washington will be able to meet St. Louis University more than it has been in the past and also to meet more Big Ten teams. E. C. Well, anyway the pot is boiling down in Oklahoma and will bubble over before long. They are positive down in the southern state that it was Nebraska at the bottom of all this disruption within the last week and are saying plenty of things about the Cornhusker school that we will not reprint here. Military Department Has Qualification Bars The Military Department an nounces that the qualification bars may be obtained by those who won medals as marksmen, sharp shooters or experts at R. 0. T. C. Camp last year. Those who won these should get them at the Military Depart ment immediately. FOOTBALL RALLY TONIGHT IN THE COLISEUM COME 7:15 P. M. AG COLLEGE PLANS ATHLETICS FOR ALL Director Knight Lays Out Varied Program of Intra-Mural Sports for Year Intra-mural athletics have been given a boost at the College of Agri culture by the extensive program worked out by W. W. Knight, direc tor of athletics. The program, con sisting of tennis, wrestling, basket ball, handball and track, is said to bei the largest and best ever at tempted at the College of Agriculture. The tennis tournament, which was to have started Monday, September 26, has been postponed due to incle ment weather. A number of men have signed up to complete, and some good games will be on the schedule. Finals will be held October 14. The handball singles and doubles tournament will start immediately after Thanksgiving vacation. Inter department basketball will be on the program at the start of the second semester. The faculty at the college may enter as a separate department. Weight individual champions of the college will be determined in the wrestling tournament that will take place early in the second semester. The date for the inter-class track! meet has not been set as yet. HowJ ever, only events that can be run off on the Ag campus will be on the list. The exact date for the inter-department baseball league has not been determined.
