ketball squad left Thursday after
noon for Okluhoma where tho Scnr
let and Cream players will meet the
Oklahoma Sooners today and the
Oklahoma Aggfes tomorrow evening.
The southern invasion is one of the
most important trips on the Corn
husker schedule, for two hard games
will bo on tap for the Nebraska cap
ers. The Oklahoma Sooners, tho
Cornhusker foe for this afternoon,
are leading the Valley teams in the
race for the Missouri Valley Champ
ionship. The Sooner quintet has not
been defeated this year in Valley
games and has an aggregation that
will furnish stiff opposition for the
Husker basketeers.
Ten varsity cngcrs, Coach Charles
Black, and the student manager left
for Soonerland on the Burlington at
1:45 o'clock yesterday afternoon. The
men who made the trip are Captain
Clark Smaha, Ted Tage, Roy An
dreson, Elmer Holm, Kenneth Oth
mer, John Brown, Tom Elliott, Mcr
ritt Klcpser, riiil Gerelick and Vint
Lawson.
In the last six years, Nebraska has
been able to take the count on the
Oklahoma Sooners, winning eight
games and dropping two to tho south
ern school,

varsity of Oklahoma baseball itar,
will coach the vanity baseball squad
at Oklahoma next season, it was an
nounced yesterday. Haskell has been
athletic mentor at the Kansas City,
Kansas, high school and it considered
one of the most successful and cap
able baseball experts in the state.
Captain Clark Smaha, Cornhusker
forward, is up among the first five
for hied scoring honors in the Mis
souri Valley. If Clark keeps hitting

Crinnell was hit by the hard luck
Albro Lundy, letterman on the
Husker mat squad, qualified for the
Nebraska trip to Columbia where the
Hutkers meet the Mixzou team.
Lundy made his letter on the mat
squad in '24, and won a birth on the
Nebraska squad by beating out Verle
McBride in the light-heavy weight
division.
