Disputants may appeal to the labor magistrate after a decision of an arbitration board but all arbitrators are appointed and under the control of Mussolini. If Mussolini, through his labor magis trate, wishes to decree a twelve hour day there is no way around it The labor- magistrate is the last resort in labor matters." The fourth matter in which Mr. Page drew a parallel between the Russian and Italian governments is that both countries have a policy of expansion outside of their, own prov inces. "Italy cannot very easily ex pand though," believes Mr. Page, "because Great Britain controls all the inlets for food and Italy has no coal. The standard of life in Italy and Russia is also very low. "The fifth parallel between Italy and Russia is that both claim to be acting for the good of all of the peo ple. "I honestly believe," stated Mr. Page, "that Mussolini is giving Italy a better government than they have ever had before. The leaders are right in believing the rank and file of the people cannot govern them selves, but the leaders are governing at the expense of liberties over which man has fought for centuries." It is a story of the success of an ideal. No magic, no "pull", no es pecial advantage Of location or building contributed to this suc cess. But close attention to every detail, keeping the ideal ever m mind, patience and hard work on the manager's part brought such success that the public marvel at it. Right from the start, under the present management, the Central has been popular with the students of the University of Nebraska. There are many reasons for this popularity, but they need not be recounted now. It is fitting, however, that the story of the Central's rise shall be told in the columns of "The Daily Nebraskan" the stu dents own newspaper. And in the weeks to come it shall be told in short installments and by easy stages. 132S P To bo Continued UhCOLK.riti. C E. BUCKHOLZ, Mgr.
