SOCCER PRACTICE TO
BE HELD SATURDAY
Will Take Place of One Sched
uled for Thursday; Few
Out for Teams.
An extra practice in soccer is to
be held at 10 o'clock Saturday morn
ing. Anyone who wishes may sign
on the bulletin posted in the west en
trance of the Armory. This addition
al practice has been arranged to take
the place of the one which will be
missed by the holiday next Thursday.
Those who have not yet .been out
for soccer still have time to make the
ten practices necessary to make the
team. There are more than three
weeks of the season in which to play.
With three practices each week any
coed could manage to get the speci
fied number. Fewer women have
signed for the sport than in the past
few years and the teams will be eas
ier to make for that reason.

WASHINGTON AND LEE UNI
VERSITY A special pink paper was
put out in the celebration after the
Washington and Lee eleven scored on
the powerful West Virginia team in
the last quarter. They had been
scheduled to lose by at least four
touchdowns but in the last two min
utes of play they scored the only
touchdown of the game, making the
final score 6-0.

of how Nebraska defeated tie Uni

The one touchdown maYle by Nebras

All kinds of reBorts were a-ied by
the Nebraska students to get to Iowa
City. One of the favorite wys was
raffling-boards which were carried
over the campus. About twenty-five
dollars could be realized on every

to think that "raffling-boa?ds are
