To Plant Crops in Light of Moon
Is Not Superstition, Says Botanist
The much-ridiculed superstitution
of planting corn in the light of the
moon has grown into a highly re

Texas Horned Toad
1 Given to Instructor
A horned toad was found in Lin
coln this summer and presented to
v.. F. Powell, instructor in the zo
ology department The horned toad
is not really a toad, but a reptile. It
is our inches lngr dusky tan in
color with yellow and brown mart
inn. The undernart is scaly and al
most white. The horned toad derives
its name from the many little horns
that it has all over its back and taiL
The two horns just back of the eyes
stand out more prominently than the
others, beinsr about a half inch long.
It is thoueht that this reptile came
from Texas. A Lincoln man visiting

rfisanneared. and later was found
about a block away from its home.
