S3 Seems to me it is the ambition of most of the leather and suede belts, worn on wool sports frocks, to be as wide as a real polo belt. The wider they are the smarter they are. At Rudge & Guenzel's they have all widths priced at 75c to $3 each, in colors of blue, green, brown, tan, gray, white and black. You Wouldn't Believe It If you Could see some f the suits and over oats that are cover ed with spots, the colors dingy and dull, full of wrinkles and out of shape before they go through The Evans Cleaning Pro cess you would hard ly believe they are the same garments afterwards. One University of Nebraska stu dent went to work as city salesman for a Lincoln firm. His first call was to the home of a young lady who was interested in buying a washing machine. Now this was one case, outside of the movies, in which the prospect was young, beautiful, graceful and flirta tious but married. The young man had already spent an hour explain ing the merits of his electric wash ing machine, and incidentally had done the major portion of the week's washing for her (since it was Mon day morning,) when the master of the house returned. He, too, resembled the "jealous husband" of moving-picture fame: a big, strapping, husky sort of hard boiled, rough-and-ready fellow you know the kind. He burst in upon this ambitious campus "shiek" in the course of the interview. "What cha doin' here?" "Glad to meet you, sir. My name is Smith and I am representing the Blank Washing Machine Company. We " "See that door. Take your shad ow out it!" "Good-day, sir, I really must be going. But here is a nice pamphlet that will tell you all about our ma chine. Just telephone your order in. So glad I met you." "Whereat the student returned to his O-Street headquarters and ten dered his resignation. TOWNSEND Portrait Photograph er. Hotel De Hamburger 5c Buy 'em by the sack 1141 Q St. G.
