The Nebraska mile relay team com posed of Bloodgood, Whipporman, Hcin and Crites was second in their section of the mile relay. Illinois was first in another section with a time of 3:21:5. Turner tied for third in the high jump which was won by Poor of Illi nois at a height of 6 :3. The Ilusker two-mile team com posed of Crites, Lewis, Iliggins, and Gardner came out fourth in the two mile relay race. The four-mile team made up of Slcmmons, Ross, Zim merman, and Cohen was fifth. Illi nois was first with a time of 18:12. Hatch, Nebraska broad jumper, placed fifth in the broad jump with 21 feet 6 inches. Hubbard of Mich igan, winner of this event, jumped 24 feet 2 inches. Davis, Nebraska pole vaulter, went out at 11 feet 6 inches. McKown of Kansas State Teachers college was first with 13 feet. Red Layton, running unattached in another race, placed sixth in a special quarter-mile dash. Wilson of Illinois was first at a time of 49:9 seconds Scholl of Minnesota won two first places, hurling the discuss 128 feet, 5 inches, and throwing the javelin 196 feet and 9 inches. Two races in which Nebraska did not place were the two-mile relay won by Northwestern, and the 120- yard hurdles won by Kinsey of Illi nois. Mr. John W. Coombs, author of the play. The first full rehearsal was held Wed nesday and one will be held every night this week. A dress rehearsal will be held Thursday evening. " The Wishing Ring " Is a three-act musical comedy, written by Cyril L. Coombs, author of "The Yellow Lantern," 1923 Kosmet play. It con tains eighteen song hits, composed by Mr. Coombs and arranged by August Dietz. Four songs, "The Wishing Ring," "All Day Long," "When I Waltz With You," and "Dear Ole Virginia," will be published in pop ular song form and sold at both per formances for thirty cents each. Special scenery and lighting effects have been arranged. The cast in cludes over sixty students with Mar guerite Munger and Ward Wray ap pearing in the two leads.
