Frivolous Trimmings
After wearing the plain tail
ored frock all day and the sim
ple, prim accessories that match
this costume isn't it fun to slip
into a soft fluffy gown and add
the frivolous 'trimmings' that
must accompany it?
For Little Fingers.
At Rudge's tficy have a new
Handkerchief that they call a
"Finger Handkerchief." it's
four little squares of voile,
sewed together by two tiny
bands of net. The net is
crossed in the center of the
square which makes a sort of
loop just the size of the little
finger. And that explains why
they're called "Finger Hand
kerchiefs." They are to be
carried on the little finger
while dancing. Rudge's have
these in delicate pastel shades
and combinations that harmon
ize so well with party frocks.
In one corner of these 'Ker
chiefs is a dainty hand embroid
ered flower spray. The edges
are finished with net. Stop in
tomorrow and see them for
yourself. Priced $1.75.

To Feed the Hungry.
Have you ever seen anything like
this weather to make one hungry?
The starving Armenians have noth
ing on us. To satisfy this hunger
there is no place better than Rector's
at the corner of 13th and P streets.
They have all sorts of delicious
things and are now serving fresh
strawberry sundaes and parfaits.
It's Light Shoes for Spring.
Have you seen the new shoes at
Magee's? If not, just walk the old
ones right in to see them. The shoes
for afternoon will delight your heart.
They are of suede in all the light
shades. The most popular are airdale,
jack rabbit, tan bark, and Bombay.
The shoes for street wear are even
more attractive, if that is possible.
They are the airdale and jack rabbit
gray suede southern tie oxfords.
a dental operation two week ago.
Hunton was one of tho best sprint
ers on the team, and was the main
cog in the relay team. His loss will
be felt keenly, especially since the
Kansas Aggie meet is only two weeks
off. Coach Frank Adkins had planned
on winning the relay event with
Hunton in the' lineup. Dan Reed
will probably be put on the relay
team in place of Hunton, and Kirk
bride in the sprints.
Nebraska is the strongest team in
the Valley in the breaststroke sw'm
in which Norman Plate is carrying all
before him. Plate won a first place
in the meet at, Omaha and came out
second at St. Louis against Wash
ington. He has been making good
time in practice swims. He will prob
ably win a first place for Nebraska
in the Kansas Aggie meet. Jack
Goebing, captain of the team last
year, is running mate for Plate in
the breaststroke swim, and will come
out a close second in the meets.
The Kansas Aggie meet at Man
hattan on March 14 will probably be
the last dual meet of the season for
the swimming team. The season will
be wound up with the Missouri Val
ley meet at St. Louis on March 22
and 23.

Baseball practice will start in earn
est with the close of the cage sea
son. Some of the men have been
working out in the gymnasium for
several weeks under direction of
Capt. Harland Peterson, and outdoor
practice will commence as soon as
possible.
Grounds near the stadium will
probably be fixed for practice as

A trip south during Easter vaca

four gams, probably Kansas, Okla

No contracts have been made yet.

Scott Dye and W. G. Kline Are

A coach for the baseball team will

yesterday. The board has two ap

from Scot Dye, who coached the nine

will probably make the selection next
week.
