He is at the campus studio waiting for the photographer to produce what he hopes will be a picture. ' If he is so fortunate as to for get himself long eonugh to no tice what is going on around him, ho will probably favor with his first glance, the people who happen at the time to be in forma tion before the camera. They are restless until the photographer takes his place before them with his "trig ger", then they stiff eh; their eyes become glassy, smiles are fixed with determination and grimness, and breath is held interminably. "All right!" says the photographer, and there is subsiding; the baloon is pricked. "That's a test for concentration and lung capacity," gasps the man who jumps down from the elevation first. But how in the name of charity can he put the finishing touches on his sleekness when every one in sight is looking straight at him with a Cheshire grin, a grin that may stay as it is, or break into a smoth ered snort? Major Erickson Says Quality Not Quantity Is to Be Desired. "'It is quality first, and quantity afterward that we want in the R. O. T. C. camp at Fort Snelling this summer," Major Erickson stated yes terday. "Men are being chosen for the basic camp with the hope that we can have a platoon from that camp and two platoons from the ad vanced camps," he added. "This will give us a unit that will represent Ne braska as the military unit in the camp this summer." Members of Scabbard and Blade, cadet officers, and the corps of in structors are choosing the men for the six-weeks summer camp. Any man taking the regular course in mil itary training is eligible to go. Men who have attended the camp one summer and men who are taking the advanced course are sent to the ad vanced camp unless they choose to take the basic work over again. Some sophomores are doing this so that they will be eligible for the advanced camp when they take the advanced work. . Sophomores and freshmen must turn their names in by March 1 if they wish to be considered for Work at the camp this summer. Cadet of ficers must spend a summer at camp before they receive credit for the course. A few are forcd to ask for a reprieve until after they have fin ished the course. The others are taking the advanced camp woik this summer.
