Omaha Central high school won first place in the first annual Nebras ka interscholastic academic contest held Saturday morning'. Lincoln and North Eend were tne winners of the second and third honors. Contests were held in English composition, spelling, algebra, geometry, Ameri can history and Latin. Each school was allowed three entries in each event. Omaha Central was the only school making full entries. Gold, silver and brone medals will be awarded for place in each event. From four to five there will be a tea in Ellen Smith Hall, at which the mothers of the University girls will be the guests of honor. Xi Delta Initiation Is Held Thursday Xi Delta, sophomore honorary so ciety held its annual initiation Tues day at 6 o'clock at Ellen Smith Hall. The ceremony was followed by a din ner for the twenty-thrge initiates. Several alumnae were present.
