HIGH SCHOOL DEBATERS

Roland Carson Propst, '24, has an
excellent scholarship record, leading
the school in general average. This
is his first year on the debating
team. He Intends to go to Hastings
PniiPCB. and will co Into journalism.
He was captain of the 1923 football
team.
Donald Warner, '23, is an honor
roll student, especially good in dis
cussion classes. This is his second
year on the school team; and he
has ranked first in nearly every de
bate iu which he has taken part.
He intends to go to Hastings Col
lege; he will go Into the law. He
is -a football and track man, and is
business manager of the annual.
Greeley (West-Central District)
Charlotte A. Brannen, '25, is leader
of her class in scholarship this year.
This is her first year hi debate. She
expects to attend college and go into
teaching.
Mary A. Murphy, '24, 13 president
of her class. This is her first year
in debate. She expects to teach.
Patrick J. Davey, '23, is senior-
class president and vice-president of
the athletic board. This is his first
year on the debate team. He expects
to attend college to study law.
McCook (Southwestern District)
Fern Harbaugh, '23, is secretary
of her class and has a lead in the
senior play. This is her first year
on the debate team. She is member
of the high-school Girls' Club.
Evelyn McClure, '23, has been on
the debate team one year. She is
associate editor of the school paper
and member of the Girls' Club.
Hazel Shepherd, '23, winner of the
district oratorical contest, is com
pleting the school course in three
years. This is her first year in de
bate work. She is member of the
Girls' Club.
Oakland (Northeastern District)
Eldred Charles Larson, '24, has
been on the debate team two years.
He will go to college, probably to
prepare for law.
Leo Robert Nielsen, '23, will prob
ably be valedictorian of his class.
This is his first year in debating.

Willard S. Rodgers, '23, . has par

bates two years, and was member of
the winning team in 1923. He is
going to the University of Nebraska
to prepare for law.
Edwin W. Hogle, '23, member of
the 1923 winning team in the boys'
interclub debates, intends to go to
Cotner or to the University of Ne
braska to study law. He is president
of the senior class and of the Senate
Debating Club.
Perkins County Hiflh School, Grant
(Western District II)
Frank Stohler, '23, has made a re
markable record in school, graduating
in three years under the credit-per
cent plan. He has been awarded a
scholarship letter for each semester,
and will receive the collegiate schol
arship tor highest honors in the class.
This is his first year in debate. He
expects to attend some agricultural
college.
Ruth Jane Troxel, '23, had the high
est average in Palisade High School
one year, has received a scholarship
honor lettter for each semester in
school, and is completing high school
in three years. She was graduated
from the eighth grade with second
honors in Hitchcock county. She
has been in debate work two years.
