COMPANY G" HOLDS AN EVENING "MIXER" About forty enthusiastic members of Company "O" turned out for the Company mixed in Nebraska Hall on Thursday night. Major Erickson, Captain Ha gen and several cadet com missioned officers were guests of the company. Cider, cigarettes, and doughnuts were in evidence through out the evening. Several clever new company songs and yells were prac ticed. Several men volunteered to en liven the mixer with songs and musi cal instruments. These renditions proved very successful. The spirit thus far shown by com pany "O" has been excellent. Last week the company's attendance rec ord was 100 per cent. The company rifle team captured third place in the inter-company shoot. The company has an excellent record in bayonet ting. Last year Company "G" won the company competitive drill. This year they intend to again come out on top. A special radio program for the company was sent out by station B. V. T). located at Omaha. It seems that Omaha is very interested in Company "CI," The operator gave the Com pany yell and when he repeatel all the men joined him. Some new plans relating to com pany activities were brought up. The mixer was a success in every way excepting the fact that the number of men present was small. Co-operation has been the key note of the campaign for student churc h attendance. The six student pastors, the two Christian Association secro ries, and the members of the various committees have been very active in the work. The University, represent ed by Chancellor Samuel Avery, di rected the mailing of Invitations to C.000 students. All the churches of Lincoln have committees working on the campaign, and a partial list of these was printed in the Nobraskan. It is to be empha sized that an nffillato membership does not change the connection of the student with the home-town church. It exists only during the student's stay in Lincoln and automatically ceases when the student leaves town. Attention of Catholic students is called to the all-student communion at 9 o'clock which will be followed by a breakfast in the cathedra basement. The affiliation program Is under the direction of the Catholic student club.
