Brown, pitching for the Foot ball track baseball team, won his own game against the Summer Xebraskau Wednesday evening when in the fifth inning he lined out a fast hit lor one base, stole two more and finally came home on an error. With two men out and two st likes on Garnick, Prown brought in the run which ended the game with the score standing 5 to 4. Tlie baseball class continued to lead the standings of the Twilight league teams by virtue of three victories and no defeats for a perfect standing. The baseball men took the basketball class at the bottom of the standings, to a 10 to 5 trimming Wednesday evening. A fifth inning rally by the basketball men netted four runs and for a few minutes threatened the honors of the pace setting baseball men. The Football track-Summer Xebras- kan contest was a heated aqair. Both Brown and Williams pitched good ball, each man having three runs tallied against him in the first inning as the result of team errors. Tlie Summer Nebraskan started things when they hit Brown for three runs. With two outs, Campbell was caught off third and the newspaper representatives retired. In an inning filled with errors, the Foctball track men brought in three runs, tying the score. The second and third inning went scoreless but in the first of the fourth, the Summer Ne braskan sent across another tally. Things looked good until the last of the fifth. A fielding error allowed the first football track man to circle the bases. Two men were retired by Wil Hams and Brown lined out a hot one Tor one base. With Garnick at bat, Brown stole twice and came home on a fatal fielding error. Groesbeck, governor of Michi gan and Sir Thomas Lewis, of Lon don, Eng. Mr. Chapin, a former student at the university, left it to enter the auto mobile business, then in its pioneer stages. Though he has been executive head of the Hudson Motor Car Com pnny practically since its organization in 1000, Mr. Chapin remains today one of the youngest presidents in the in dustry. He is only 42 years old and is also one of the youngest men ever to be given an honorary degree by Michigan.
