GRADUATION EXERCISES
IN SCHOOL OF MUSIC
Tho University School of MubIc will
hold its graduation exercises Friday
evening. May 2G, at the Temple
theater. Twenty students will receive
diplomas and degrees. Preceding the
awarding of diplomas, Mrs. Will Owen
Jones, who this year completes her
twenty-fifth year as instructor on the
faculty, will give a piano recital. Fol
lowing the recital will be the first ap
pearance of the A Cappella choir of
sixty voices, with John Rosborough as
conductor.
Amos Ginn and Story Harding mo
tored to Nebraska City Sunday.
J. Wlllard Green of Omaha visited
at the Delta Chi house this week end.
Mary Elder will go to Wahoo today
to visit.

local post has started a campaign for
a radio set and will have one In the
next few weeks. A Omaha paper Is
offering a high grade Bet as a sub
scription contest prize. So enthusi
astic are the members of the post
that they believe they will come out
easy victors In this contest.
However, should they not be suc
cessful In getting this set, they will
Install a set and pay for It through
various entertainments.
Ladies Give Benefit
SHELTON, (Special). TheNadies
of the auxiliary gave a benefit whist
party in tho Legion hall on the eve
ning of May 9. About one hundred
guests were present and following the
games of cards everyone spent the
balance of the evening in dancing.

of this place attended the funeral of
Scott MacLeod of White Cloud. The
Impressive Legton ritual was used In
conducting the funeral of the de
parted comrade. In these days of
peace the sight of a military funeral
gives the great solemnity of the after
