400 CARLOADS OF
DIRT REMOVED

Monograms on automobiles are no
longer stylish among ranchmen in
northwestern Nebraska, but instead
the cattlemen now have their private
brands with which they mark their
cattle stamped on the sides of their
cars in gold leaf, according to K. C.
Noble, Custer County ranchman, who
was in Lincoln Thursday. Mr. Noble
had just had his registered brand, a
circle over two bars, done in gold leaf
on both sides and the windshield of
his car. "They know some us better
out there by our brands than they do
by our names," Noble said.
