And the old timers always do come to see Jimmy for to them he is as much a part of Nebraska as is historic old U. Hall. College The Mil itary Department at the present time is bending efforts toward organizing pistol and riile teams to enter the National Rifle Association matches. Pistol practise was carried on almost daily at the military encampment and excellent scores were made by some of the officers. DELTA SIGMA RHO GREETS DEBATERS Reception Committee For Eleven District Champs to be De bating Frat The University's reception commit tee to greet the High School Debating Dengue's eleven district championship teams for the fifteenth state debate beginning with five contests Thurs day oven Ins; will be the members of the University of Nebraska chapter of Delta Sigma Hho, the national honor ary society for intercollegiate debat ers which has chapters in 56 colleges and universities and over 3500 mem bers. They will meet the delegations at the trains and will show them the Intercollegiate-Debate Seminary (the Think Shop), University Hall 106 A, where Nebraska's cases for twenty years have been forged, from S:30 to 9 Fri day morning and 1:30 to 2:30 Friday afternoon. LAST MEETING OF CLUB THURSDAY Professor Stepanek to Speak at Final Gathering of Inter national Relations Club The International Relations Club wil hold its final meeting of the school year Thursday at 7:15 p. m., in S. S 205, The annual election of officers and the usual business meeting will take place, after which will follow a lecture on "The Seat of the War" by Orin Stepanek, of the English depart ment. All members are urged to at tend this meeting and visitors are also invited. Applications for membership! for next year may be made to the mem bership committee, chairman Harry L. Reed, or to Professor Roy K. Coch ran, sponsor. Membership require ments in addition to election are 12 ours of history and credits which will fill the requirements of a junior. The club is limited to sixty-six mem bers and is affiliated with the Nation al Association of International Rela lions Club which has over 300 mem bership club located in the various coi'eges and universities through the country. Some of the ablest speakers who have visited the University this year have come under the auspices of this club. University of Kansas The Engin eers have lost their right to celebrate their Engineers' Day. The engineer ing students proceeded to Green Hall with the intention of burning in ef figy the law building and a law stu dent, breaking odor bombs on the steps and giving their yell. In addi tion they threw eggs which 6truck students, one faculty meniben and both interior and exterior of Green Hall. They also broke up classes. The engineers in defense allege that the law students destroyed two floats intended for the parade, that the law students purchased eggs to be used against the engineering parade. Colorado University As a means of acquainting the parents of the stu dents with actual conditions on the campus all the mothers and fathers have been invited to visit a certain day.
