We keep a crowd moving for safety's sake and to pre vent congestion; we keep "things" moving at an entertainment to fur ther enjoyment, and we keep moving ourselves because we get tired of standing in one place and besides standing still is not necessarily our normal position. Standing still is not the natural state for the mind. The mind craves and needs action just as the body does. Exercise is what makes the mind expand, keep alert and well lubricat ed. Unless it is kept well lubricated it will trust and fail to realize and grasp opportunities as they slide by. It is j often said that man is not able to gain complete happiness. In a way it is regrettable, but when looked at from a different angle it Is 'perhaps one of the fundamental reasons for progress. To be completely happy would mean perfect contentment, con tentment means standing still and standing still means retrograding. Every class and every recitation is a possiblity, but the dormant, unre ceptive mind absorbs nothing. It gets congested and cannot assimilate any thing. Thereupon it stands still and very soon starts on the down grade Movement has much to do with mak ing life worth living, and the mind that becomes fixed or which travels in a narrow rut and never makes any hear-way, must find existence rather dull. Sanstedt and. Simon are also numbered . among the middle- weights. The 175 pound class, the light heavyweight division, claims a num ber of capable wrestlers. Troutman, a letter ma n last year, is foremost among the, 175 pounders at present, but Renner, Nigh, and Zink aie mat artists of no mean ability and prom ise1 to give Troutman a right for the berth on the team. In the heavyweight) division, two football men, Reed and llendrlckson, are competing. Pucelilk, .football star ' national fame, has held the i.ma teur heavyweight championship of Nebraska, and so every influence is being brought to bear in an attempt to gi t him out for the team. Rules Undergo Changes. At the last session of the western intercollegiate gymnast!, wrestlin and fencing associiuioii, which was held at Chicago, several changes In the wrestling rules were mr.de, ac cording to Dr. Clapp, Nebraska's rep rosetitative and the president of the association. Under a new ruling, championship matches will be single bo'its of twelve minutes each instead of three seven minute bouts as heretofore. la case the wrestlers have tied at the end of the twelve minute bout, two three minute bouts may be added. In case neither has a fall, the one who has been behind his opponent a minute longer than his opponent has been behind him, wins the match. Otherwise it will be declared a tie, and Crlstol also played a good game for the Pikors. Both teams made numerous sub stitutions. For the Coinhuskers Lew ellen went in for Kohl; Carman for Smith; and Haverly for Lewellen. For the Washington team, Berry went in lor Linneineyer and SchanuB for Ber ry. The floor work and passing of both teams was ragged, due to the eaili ness of the season. The game dis closed many weaknesses in both teams, neither ot wnicn piayeu any where mid-season form. The game was played at the Stats Fair Coliseum Saturday night. A crowd of about fivo hundred attended the game. The game started at 7:50.
