VACATION SYSTEM
UP TO STUDENTS
(Continued from Page One.)
often refused full credit to students
entering their institutions from the
Cornhusker school, because they say,
Nebraska has too may holidays. To
have the same rating as those eastern
schools, Nebraska must have thirty
six full working weeks, that is week3
with six days' of school each. The per
iod from September 11 to June 2 cov
ers thirty-eight weeks, leaving only
,wo weeks for all the vacations of the
year. Of tthiso two weeks, twelve days
are working days and these are tha
days which are in the atr until the
students decide just how they want
thwm distributed.
The University of Nebraska is as
good a school as there is in the coun
try and students ocming from here
should be allowed full credit for their
work anywhere. It is now up to the
students to decide how they want the
vacations, which they can have and
still maintain in the high rating which
.MiDrasKa deserves, distributed over
tho year. The calendar for 1921-22 Is
now in the process of being made up
and this question must be decided im
mediately.
