STATE DOARD ATTENDS" PHARMACEUTICAL MEET The second meeting of the Nebras ka bianch of the American Thai ma ceutlcal association was hold Tues day evening in pharmacy hall Tho meeting was of special Interest in asmuch tho state examining board for licensing practitioners of pharmacy was present. An exceptionally large number of students were present. Mr. Hlldebrande, of York, who was tho Nebraska delegate to the conven tion of the national association ci boards of pharmacy gave a report of the meetings which he attended at New Orleans during the first week in August. Mr. Neils Mikelson, president of the examining board spoke of tl't. valuable work done by the N. A. B. of pharmacy after which Dean Lyman compared the work of the national pharmaceutical organizations. Prof. J. B. Burt, of the college' of pharmacy, discussed briefly the pro posed legislation in regards to the taxing of alcohol. The anti-cancer crusade of last week was outlinea by Dr. Albeit Schneider who also compared the frequency of cancer fatalities with those of other common diseases. DR. HOLMES SPEAKS AT Y. W.
