He was to stait work at Oxford this October. In Oxford the method of instruc tion differs greatly from America!: schools. Each person is entered into a college and placed under a t.;tor who is directly in charge of him. This tutor advises him as to what books to read and what lectures to attend but the student has to do nothing but what he advises. There are three examinations for the Englishmen entering the school. Ono at entrance time, one at the end of the first year and one at the I end of the college course. Each stu dent specializes in one subject ana takes that only. Applications for Rhodes scholars must first be approved by the uni versity commiUee. These should be in the hands of Provost Lees a sut ficient length of time before Octobci 23 to allow the committee to review the candidates. Nebraska is entitled to five candidates. MTJNN IS IN SERIOUS CONDITON FROM SETBACK Monte Munn, who has been confined in the sanitarium for the past two week, had la 1 severe setback lat night and was in a serious condition all night. Monte, who has been regu lar guard on the Varsity, was much better Friday and the Doctor allowed him to go out Friday noon. Monte made a trip to the football field and watched the workout Friday after noon. He was taken suddenly ill Fri day night and has been in a serious condition since that. time. Munn's loss to the Varsity is a serious blow and Coach Dawson has had a great deal of difficulty in filling the big Husker's place.
